This song is the first full on band production I have done. Starting with the drum track which I loved and nailed immediately. It is two of the same rhythms looped slightly out of sync which gives it that full sound like two drummers. I also added a few kick drum flubs and cymbal crashes to make it sound more human. I literally did it in one take. Then I added the bass and sang and played the Dobro over that. I was going for the kind of sound Townsend got on Going Mobile or what Garth Hudson did on Cripple Creek with the Cigar Box through the envelope pedal.
